So What Is The Power of Now?

The Power of Now Review

The power of now is a book of spiritual guidance written by Eckhart Tolle that can change your life. If you let it. As the author himself coins, if you are not ready, the book will be meaningless, but if you’re on the cusp of a change and can see the subtly of the messages it is possible that as you read you will see a transition in yourself, in your thinking and overall the way you are feeling.

Reviewing the book and picking it apart would be a mistake because it would give you “my interpretation” of it, it would possibly taint your perspective of something before you even had a chance to take a look at it for yourself. So I’m not going to tell you what’s inside.

What I will tell you is that for me, someone who is a sensitive soul and often times suffering from depression and sadness, that the book changed my life. It helped me cope with many difficult circumastances in my life and helped me to not only get out of my depression, or at least see the sad moments for what they are, but helped me de-stress. I wasn’t even able to see how terrible my own thinking was, how it contributed to things, before I opened the book and began to let his words sink in.

I actually turn to his books whenever life starts to get overwhelming again, which it always seems to, there is always something right? But I find a great comfort in his words and even though the “teachings” if you want to call them that have already been “taught” to me, a reminder helps keep me on track, helps me not take my mind so seriously that it affects my life negatively.

There are power in words and if you read them, if you are needing them and open to them then The Power of Now can really help transform you into a more positive and calm soul. If stresses seem to take you over, if people set you off, if you are wallowing in depression, then what can it hurt to try a possible natural cure for depression by cracking open a book?

The power of now is the strength you can find in knowing that there is no past or future, that there is only now – and in this moment, right now, what is wrong?

Who is The Power of Now For?

This book is perfect for anyone who is ready for or needing a change. People who are:

– stressed
– depressed
– feeling alone
– overwhelmed
– ready to learn how to smell the roses
– people with troubling letting go (or objects, anger, moods…etc,.)

The Power of Now isn’t for everyone. I have read many reviews that have really surprised me, but it really points to exactly what Eckhart Tolle discusses in his book – if you want to know what I mean, you’ll have to read it…because one could almost consider it a judgment, and I’m not going to do that. That would defeat the purposes. If you read The Power of Now you’ll see that it is a journey.

I personally think everyone should at least pick up the book and try to read it. If it is as he says, you aren’t ready for it, it won’t do anything for you. So be it. But if you are ready for it, if you need a change, it could literally save your life. It did mine.
